Labradoodles

Whats included?  Included is a microchip, vaccination and crate training, plus many dewormings prior to leaving us. We start the house breaking process...consider it a head start program.  Pups go home on a strict non-breeding contract. (see below).  I offer a 1 year health guarantee but will extend it to 3 years if you continue using 4 Strong Paws dog food (or agreed premium food brand) and add Daily Immune Supplement.

A deposit of $500 will hold your place on the waiting list. This fee is non-refundable and placed for a particular litter unless Halton Hills are unable to supply you with a puppy from this litter. The balance of the adoption fee must be paid when the puppies are 6wks old at which point the puppies will be allocated to their new families. Puppies go to their new families between 8 and 9 weeks of age, but come with a lifetime of support from us.

DO NOT PLACE A DEPOSIT WITHOUT A COMPLETED AND REVIEWED APPLICATION
PICK UP POLICY- Any puppy not picked up by the scheduled pick up day is subject to a $40/day kennelling fee.

Labradoodle Health Guarantee and Contract

Breeders Responsibilities

  1. The Breeder guarantees the puppy is in good health at the time of delivery. The Buyer has three days to take the puppy into a veterinarian for an examination. If the puppy is found to be of poor health the Buyer has the option of returning the puppy to the Breeder for a full refund or keeping the puppy and the Breeder will reimburse for all veterinary costs, up to the purchase price, related to the pre-existing condition.

  2. The Breeder provides a warranty for one year after the date of sale against any serious genetic disorder that affects the dog's quality of life. If the puppy is fed the premium food 4 Strong Paws and given a daily vitamin supplement  recommended by the breeder then the guarantee is extended to 3 years from the date of purchase. Should a serious genetic disorder be discovered, the Breeder will offer a replacement puppy from the next available litter or refund the original purchase price (breeders choice). Your puppy does not need to be returned to us. All veterinary records must be supplied to the Breeder. In the case of HD the Buyer must provide documentation from PennHIP or OFA. In the case of cataracts or PRA the Buyer must provide documentation from a veterinary ophthalmologist.

  3. The Breeder reserves the right, at the Breeder's expense, to have the dog checked by a veterinarian of the Breeder's choice before offering a replacement puppy.
Buyers Responsibilities

*This dog is being sold on a non-breeding agreement. The buyer agrees to spay/neuter this dog on or before 6 months of age or pay the breeder $15,000.

  1. The Buyer will provide the dog a caring and loving home.
  2. The Buyer will take the dog to a veterinarian for an annual check-up and all preventative treatment recommended by the veterinarian will be followed. Giardia is a microscopic parasite that is highly infectious and hard to control in a litter situation, as the puppies can keep reinfecting each other. We follow the vet recommended protocols but some puppies ho home at the beginning of a cycle. For all of these reasons Giardia is not covered under the health guarantee. The Buyer agrees to take the dog for an annual check up and all preventative treatment recommended by the veterinarian will be followed.
  3. The Buyer will take the dog to either group or private training classes by the time the dog is five months old. The Buyer will complete at least two levels of obedience training and will properly socialize the dog. The Breeder does not condone the use of spike or prong collars during training. Doodles are a sensitive breed and do not respond well to harsh training techniques.
  4. The Buyer will not allow the dog to become overweight or allow repetitive, rigorous exercise, especially during the first year of development.
  5. The Buyer will contact the Breeder immediately if the Buyer can no longer look after the dog at ANY point during the dog’s life. The Buyer agrees not to surrender the dog to an Animal Shelter. The breeder will assist the rehoming of the dog. Shipping is at the expense of the Buyer.

NOTE ABOUT DENTAL AND JAW DEVELOPMENT:  Dental malocclusions are a common problem in poodle mixes due to the long narrow snout of poodles and the wide shorter snout of labs.   Although it is common, I do try to avoid it.  So if it pops up in a particular pairing, I don't pair the two dogs again.  However because its so random it is very hard to predict and therefore control.   Its just the nature of the beast when breeding poodle mixes.  It is good to note that the top and bottom jaws grow at different rates making malocclusions or "poor bites" even more common.  I advise not pulling any teeth until after the dog is fully grown.  Most dogs outgrow poor bites with no intervention.   For all of these reasons I cannot cover malocclusions in my health guarantee.
